6J Chewing Gum Remover

Concentrated viscous citrus based gel, fast-acting in removing chewing gum with an orange extract and mild solvents.
  • Concentrated viscous citrus based gel.
  • Suitable for use on carpets, fabrics and most surfaces.

Technical Advice

Standard Method

  1. Apply Chewing Gum Remover to the chewing gum and leave for 5 to 15 minutes.
  2. To remove blot the surface with a white cloth or tissue.
  3. Do not rub.
  4. Repeat if necessary.
  5. Blot or extract area with water.

Freezing Method

  1. Scrape away as much of the gum using a spatula or spoon (to protect carpet fibres).
  2. Brush away loose pieces.
  3. Rub the remaining gum with a plastic bag filled with ice until the gum is frozen.
  4. Chip away the frozen gum fragments using a spatula or spoon. Blot or extract area with water.
  5. Dissolve any final traces dabbing with chewing gum remover.
  6. Rinse thoroughly.

Inhalation: Move the exposed person to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Eye contact: Irritating to eyes. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes holding the eyelids open. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist.

Skin contact: Irritating to skin. Wash off immediately with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist.

Ingestion: Ingestion may cause nausea and vomiting. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
