Technical Advice

For automatic dosing only

  • Use at a rate of 6-15ml / kg dry fabric weight.

Destaining

  • Dosing level is dependent on wash classification.
  • To obtain good bleaching and to minimise fabric damage the temperature should preferably be kept at about 28°C and the pH at 9.5 (Using the product at a pH below 9.5 may cause excessive fabric damage).
  • At higher pH’s, chlorine becomes less ‘active’ and consequently higher temperatures may be applied; at pH 10.5 bleaching should be done at 50 – 55°C.

Appearance: Yellow Liquid

pH: >12.0

Relative Density: 1.07

Odour: Characteristic

Solubility: Fully miscible in water

  • Do not use where chlorhexidine stains are present, hypochlorite reacts with chlorhexidine, resulting in brown stains, which are hard to remove.
  • Do not use Hypochlorite Laundry Destainer for cleaning nylon
  • Do not mix Hypochlorite Laundry Destainer with any other chemicals.
  • It is important that after bleaching has been completed, all residual chlorine is neutralised in the last rinse, incomplete neutralisation will lead to yellowing and fabric damage during drying at elevated temperatures, if necessary neutralise with Laundry Sour
