Operating since 1982, what started as a small operation in Northern Ireland has grown into the island’s largest facility in chemical cleaning manufacturing, supplying many of the industry’s major players across the UK, Ireland, the EU and the Middle East.
Taking on the site at the end of 2019, the name may have changed, but the core team remains the same and is dedicated to the continued excellence of our products and manufacturing.

David has been involved in the industry since joining SB Chemicals Ltd in 1993. After the Zenith Group’s takeover in 2004, he was appointed Operations Director and subsequently ran their manufacturing and distributor sales operations. In 2019, David formed Ionic Products Ltd with Terry and Gary and after an MBO they took over the Zenith Manufacturing and Distribution site.
Terry previously worked in the horticultural and dairy industries before joining SB Chemicals Ltd in 2006 as Financial Controller. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and formed Ionic Products Ltd after an MBO with David and Gary.
Gary has 30 years of experience working in the chemical and dairy industries managing areas including quality control, manufacturing and distribution. Beginning his career with SB Chemicals in 1991, he moved to dairy operations in the late 90’s before returning to the site in 2004 as Production Manager after the Zenith Hygiene Group takeover. He is co-founder of Ionic Products with David and Terry.
